Breakfast

Letโ€™s make the most important meal of the day as easy and nutritious as possible! These healthy breakfast recipes for kids were all formulated by me, a registered dietitian and mom, who tested out every single recipe on my own kids!

Youโ€™ll be amazed at just how easy it can be to ensure your little ones have enough protein, fat, and fibre to fill them up. With recipes like these 3-ingredient protein waffles and easy banana French toast, your kids will devour their breakfast without complaint while getting enough protein and avoiding a sugar overload!

For a balanced breakfast, I always recommend having protein, some fat to support those growing brains, and carbohydrates for fuel. Little kids really do not need a lot of protein, so no need to go overboard!

A perfect breakfast would be some fluffy scrambled eggs for baby with a 3-ingredient banana oatmeal bar and maybe a little fresh fruit or a small serving of strawberry banana smoothie without yogurt.ย

Plus, since I know personally just how busy parents really are, many of my healthy kids breakfast recipes can be made in advance and simply reheated before serving, like my baby oatmeal pancakes or baked chocolate chip oatmeal. This make ahead meal prep approach will save you time and money and will get breakfast on the table faster than ever!

If you love make ahead meals and snacks, youโ€™ll love my ebook Healthy Little Bites with 40 recipes for nutritious snacks and meal options you can prepare once and serve again and again!

My Feeding Philosophy

I get it. Feeding kids can be tough.
I’ve learned that the key to getting kids to try new foods is to keep it fresh and exciting, get them involved, and inject a little enthusiasm and creativity into how you serve them up. Above all else, don’t give up. If you’re serving balanced meals and snacks throughout the day, then you’re doing a good job!
