Dairy-Free

Whether your little ones are lactose intolerant or youโ€™re avoiding dairy for a different reason, youโ€™ll find plenty of dairy free recipes for kids here! Even if I do call for milk in a recipe, like this easy banana French toast or baked chocolate chip oatmeal, it can almost always be substituted with a plant-based milk for dairy-free families.

For example, this tropical green smoothie for kids relies on the creamy texture of coconut milk instead of yogurt.ย

Many of my recipes are naturally free from any type of dairy or milk. These 3-ingredient peanut butter oatmeal balls are made with just peanut butter, oats, and honey – no dairy necessary.

Likewise, these 3-ingredient banana oatmeal bars are filling & delicious without a drop of milk!

Recipes like this low sodium pizza sauce and homemade applesauce are naturally dairy-free and a great way to offer your little one additional nutrients.

If you have a baby getting ready to eat solid foods, donโ€™t miss this post about which yogurt is best for babies. I have a whole section on plant-based yogurts to help you find the right option for your little one!

My Feeding Philosophy

I get it. Feeding kids can be tough.
I’ve learned that the key to getting kids to try new foods is to keep it fresh and exciting, get them involved, and inject a little enthusiasm and creativity into how you serve them up. Above all else, don’t give up. If you’re serving balanced meals and snacks throughout the day, then you’re doing a good job!
