Add a dose of protein to your Valentine's Day breakfast with this easy recipe for heart shaped eggs! They're a fun alternative to regular scrambled or hard-boiled eggs and are so much fun for Valentine's Day or any special occasion!

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Heart shaped muffin pan

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a heart shaped muffin tin with cooking spray or use heart-shaped silicone molds.
  • Crack an egg into each of the muffin cups.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes. You'll need to adjust the time depending on how runny or firm you like your yolk. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Once you know how to make a heart shaped egg, try this recipe with different molds! There are so many different types of silicone molds out there that would work for any occasion.
  • Monitor the eggs and tweak the baking time to remove the eggs at the right level of doneness.
  • For children under the age of 5, be sure that you cook the yolk so that it's no longer runny, as it's recommended that young children avoid runny yolks.
  • For easy carrying, place the silicone mold on a baking sheet and then place the whole tray in the oven. No spills!
