Valentine's Heart Shaped Fruit Kabobs

Created by Elysia Cartlidge
Servings: 6 - 8 skewers

These easy Valentine's fruit kabobs are the sweetest way to add a little fresh fruit to your Valentine's Day feast! Made with three types of juicy melons all shaped into little hearts, they're a fun twist on fruit salad that the whole family will love!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 seedless watermelon, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 1/4 honeydew, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 1/4 cantaloupe, cut into 1/2 inch slices

Instructions

  • Cut the watermelon, honeydew and cantaloupe into ½ inch slices. Use a small heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out desired number of hearts from each fruit.
  • Using plastic or wooden skewers, thread the hearts onto each skewer. I added three, but you can add more depending on the length of your skewers. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure you cut the fruit into half-inch slices. If they are too thin, they tend to fall off the skewers and if they're too thick, they can be tricky for little mouths to eat!
  • Feel free to try different melons depending on what's available in your area!
