Egg-Free

Especially since allergy rates are rising so steadily, it’s important to me to offer healthy egg-free recipes for kids. You can absolutely feed and nourish your little ones without worrying about a reaction to eggs.

The following recipes are made without eggs at all, so you don’t have to worry about making flax eggs and finding some sort of egg replacer. Simply follow the recipe instructions and go!

Although this category includes all recipes made without eggs, some recipes, like this low sodium pizza sauce or homemade applesauce, are naturally egg-free.

Other recipes featured baked goods and other treats that would traditionally contain egg, like these banana oatmeal bars or 3-ingredient applesauce oatmeal cookies. Plus, these recipes freeze really well, so you can make a big batch and save extra for later!

To help your little one get enough protein without eggs, be sure to incorporate different forms of protein throughout the day. Most young children don’t need quite as much protein as people think, but it’s still helpful to offer some yogurt, protein powder, or add hemp seeds to different recipes!

To get more ideas about how to add protein to your little one’s diet without eggs, check out these healthy cold lunchbox ideas for kids. You’ll find a variety of fun, kid-friendly ideas to add protein and healthy fats to their diet, like making mini meat skewers or packing snack trays.

My Feeding Philosophy

I get it. Feeding kids can be tough.
I’ve learned that the key to getting kids to try new foods is to keep it fresh and exciting, get them involved, and inject a little enthusiasm and creativity into how you serve them up. Above all else, don’t give up. If you’re serving balanced meals and snacks throughout the day, then you’re doing a good job!
