Created by Elysia Cartlidge

Total Time 20 minutes
These not-so-spooky Halloween fruit kabobs are the perfect hand-held, fiber-rich snack for lunch boxes, after-school snacks, or Halloween parties! They're made with adorable little pumpkin-shaped melons, blueberry eyes, and lumpy bumpy blackberries for a classic orange and black Halloween theme without being scary. The kids can make them, too!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 of a medium cantaloupe, peel removed and cut into pumpkins or cubes
  • 12 blueberries
  • 8 blackberries
  • 12 candy eyeballs
  • 1 teaspoon peanut butter or cream cheese for sticking on eyeballs
  • Wooden or plastic skewers

Instructions

  • Cut the cantaloupe into slices and use a small pumpkin cookie cutter to cut out mini pumpkins. Alternatively, you can cut the cantaloupe into small cubes.
  • Slide the cantaloupe onto the skewers, followed by a blueberry, blackberry, another cantaloupe piece, and another blueberry.
  • Place a small dab of peanut butter or cream cheese on the back of the candy eyeballs and stick one to each blueberries. Place the kabobs on a tray and serve!
