These adorable Easter fruit kabobs are the cutest way to serve up fruit this Easter! While other versions often use marshmallow Peeps, these healthy Easter fruit skewers are made entirely from fruit, thanks to some handy cookie cutters. Your kids can help you make them, too!

One of my favorite tips for making any holiday a little healthier is to serve up that fresh fruit! Typically, everyone loves fresh fruit, especially kids who are drawn in by the beautiful colors and sweet flavor.
This is a great way to get in some extra fiber and key vitamins and minerals, especially during those busy holidays when nutrition might not be at the forefront of our minds.
The best part is that these cute rainbow fruit skewers can be served at any time! They’re great for breakfast, class parties, an afterschool snack, an Easter appetizer, and more.

Why We Love These Easter Kabobs
- So colorful & fun: Aren’t these Easter bunny fruit skewers just darling? With all the pale pastel colors this time of year, the bright reds, oranges, yellows, and greens really pop. Since the fruit is on skewers, they’re fun to hold and nibble on as well. Even young kids can grip the skewers in their palms and take little bites!

How to Make Fruit Kabobs for Easter – Step-by-Step
- Using a small bunny cookie cutter, cut bunnies out of the honey dew slices.
- Next, using a small flower shaped cookie cutter, cut flowers out of the center of each of the kiwi slices.
- Using plastic, bamboo or cake pop skewers, thread on a purple grape, two blueberries, a kiwi flower, pineapple cube, mandarin orange slice, and raspberry (basically in rainbow order). Poke the bottom of the melon bunny into the tip of the skewer. Repeat until fruit is all used up or you’ve made your desired number of skewers. Serve or store in the fridge for later.

RECIPE TIPS
- Make sure the kiwi is ripe, but still firm or it will turn mushy when you cut the little flowers out of the slices. Similarly, the raspberries should be on the firmer side too and not mushy or they won’t hold together very well when you skewer them.
- Be sure to cut the honeydew slices and kiwi slices so that they’re half an inch in thickness to allow you to poke the skewer through the kiwi flowers and honeydew bunnies. If they’re too thin, they may break when you try to poke the skewer through.
- If you have a hard time finding kiwis or need another option for the flowers, consider using melon, like extra honeydew, cantaloupe or watermelon. They’re usually easy to cut with cookie cutters!

That depends on your audience! Most adults can handle any type of skewer and easily avoid poking themselves with pointed wooden skewers. Younger kids don’t have the same dexterity and experience though, so it’s really important to choose kid-friendly skewers that won’t hurt them.
I like to use paper lollipop or cake pop sticks, which you can buy at a variety of lengths! For the little ones, I also like to use plastic skewers with handles, which are much easier for them to hold. You can also buy bamboo skewers without the sharpened point, too!
After you cut fresh fruit, it starts to soften and release moisture pretty quickly. I prefer to serve these skewers either on the same day or within one day. Be sure to wrap them in plastic wrap and keep them in the fridge if you’re making them in advance.
The best fruits are the ones your kids like to eat! I like to use lots of colors to make a rainbow on the skewers, which my kids love. Use some sort of melon, 2-3 types of berries, oranges, kiwis, grapes, and more.
They can easily be made with your favorite fruits as long as they are at least as large as a blueberry (so no pomegranate seeds). It’s also best to use fruits that are slightly firm as they can handle the poking and prodding a little bit better than, say, a soft piece of fresh mango.
Storage Guidelines
- For best results, serve these Easter fruit skewers on the same day you make them or store them in an airtight container in the fridge and eat within 1 day.
- They will begin to release their juices after you cut them, which can cause the colors to bleed together a bit. They look best when they’re made fresh.
